Don't WASTE Waste

Waste Management
Planning the exercise
We need to create a plan by identifying the design of the factory and locating a spot for operations. This should include physical space for collecting waste, vehicles for transporting waste, a processing machine and disposal of the waste material.

Plastic waste recycling : Plastic pellets
The Pellets prepared by this process are used for making fibers and other plastic materials. The process involves segregation of the waste, cleaning, cutting, heating, injection moulding, cooling and cutting to pellet size.

Hazardous Waste
Typically reactive waste, ignitable waste, organic solvents, and corrosive wastes are dangerous due to their nature to cause explosions, toxic vapor and destroy living tissues.

Paper, Cartons and other similar waste
The paper waste equipment converts paper and cardboard to Egg trays. This includes different stages of Pulping, Moulding and Drying requiring different processes like air compressors, vacuum pumps and hot pressing equipment, burners etc.

Non Hazardous waste : Textile yarns, Fabrics
Fibres from the old fabrics are used and shared further either to create bags, clothes or fillers. They can also be used to create pellets which can be used with polyester as fillers.

Collection and Transport
80% of the cost of waste management is spent for collection and transport. This could be for protection of public health and cleanliness (aesthetic reasons)
